Statement of purpose: As a stem major scholars allows me to be a more well rounded student and citizen. In my computer courses I study a lot of how computers work. I have learned and hope to learn even more of how to maximize the user experience when interacting with computers and digital devices. Media, Self, and Society gives me more of a glimpse into the world of the user. I get to learn about and examine how the digital world I am learning to create impacts society and the real world. Scholars also allows me to be a better citizen and be more cognizant of the media that surrounds me and how it affects me on a daily basis. I am also very interested in art and using technology to create interactive art. In the future I want to study augmented reality/virtual reality and use it to explore the human experience and what makes our life unique. One of my favorite museums ARTECHOUSE is a good example of the art I want to create. I went there with a friend a few years ago and since then i have been inspired to create art that is fun for people to interact with, but also has a deeper understanding and message to it. Media, Self, and Society helps me to explore the world around me and understand the connection between humans.  November 13th, 2020.
