Social Media Info Campaigns- Voter Challenge
I choose this assignment because I like how it forced me to research the ways to register to vote and how to vote in these special circumstances. I also liked the style of the video, combining humor with helpful information.
Election Day Photo
This is a photo of Black Lives Matter plaza the day after the race was called for Biden in which you can see reporters and citizens in the streets. I choose this picture because the sight of people celebrating and the many reporters covering the big news was contrasting to what 2020 seemed to be so far. It is a scene of happiness that many people had not seen for a long time.
Breaking Stereotypes: A Critical Analysis
I worked with fellow media scholar, Minnie Stephenson, to analyze the depiction of female stereotypes in the first The Hunger Games film. We discussed how the film was ground breaking in breaking the stereotype of a weak female as well as how the characters served as role models for many young girls.
